August Bank Holiday 2005 It was a lovely day for it. An early start at Newbridge marked the annual DRG Asburton section fundrasing event.. For the reward of a handsome Mountain Rescue Council sticker, drivers were given the option to make a small donation. There was an excellent turn out by Ashburton members and trainees allowing us to man both sides of the bridge. This was the last outing for the old DRG control vehical now replaced by the new vehicals kindly donated by St Austall Breweries.
